You try not to think about it

This has been a small project to expose some of the more subtle experiences of womanhood and life in general that are often not discussed but that have real impacts on everyday life. 

Each story is based on actual events that have occurred and I have done my best to hide identities while still representing the essence of each in the retelling. 

I have also attempted to use narrative devices to highlight certain aspects of the story. From the sense of having few choices to the constant repetition of the main idea of the this narrative: that there are things we don't confront on a daily basis because doing so would be overwhelming and - presumably - anxiety inducing in a way that does not allow us to live our lives.

What I hope this story starts is small conversations, the opportunity to ask each other questions about our lived experiences and have a reference point to talk about difficult topics.
